aaron, can you give more info on the seat please? why do you love it?
i am assuming it has thinner padding, so does it lower the seat a little? how much did you pay for it?

hey there, the seat was given to me as a gift, but other then that the seat is a softer material for comfort, and the materil of it, no cover is sort of a gripper type of seat. no more sliding onto the back side of the tank, i thouht this was a lot better

I had the Fast By Ferracci gel seat on my F4S (essentially the same thing as the DP seat) and it was much more comfortable than the OEM seat, and offered better "but grip". One drawback of the seat however is that the memory foam like material its made out of does and will begin to rip and wear away over time, specially by the inner thigh area (sides). The wear is accelerated with leathers and track use. No seat will last forever, but any of the aftermarket foam seats will wear significantly quicker than anything OEM. Reference wise, the seat cost me $250, and I believe it was $$$ well spent...

When i asked my dealer about the DP race seat they said yup....7 days delivery..ok

2 weeks later, no seat.... Ducati vacation in Italy....don't worry !

3 weeks later....estimate date for deliverry.....October WTF !!!!!

I told my dealer to cancel my order.

So I'm searching again to get one.

I sat on this seat (another guy's bike) at a recent suspension workshop and wasn't impressed. It had extra padding from a comfort standpoint but was too sticky. I do track days and thought this would be cumbersome. I will keep looking as well.

Is this an easy install? I just got one for my 848.
Pull back cushion at rear of seat and undo two 3mm Allen bolts. Slide seat aft to release front tabs. Reverse to install new seat. Three minute job if you stop to pee in the middle... ;)
