On the Ducati 1199 do the bike only give you service warnings on the 12 000km and 24 000km etc. Or does it also notify you to service the bike if the time has elapsed after the last service 12 months.

Not sure if it changed with the panigale but every other bike is based on mileage.

Thank you. I would have liked of it also warned on 12 months. Spoke to one owner who has never serviced the bike since 2012 after his 1000km service due to have never reached 12000km. Some users never look at dates and only service on km and then the bike runs for 2 years etc on the same oil.

Top tip: Set a calendar alert on your smart phone 12 months out from the oil change. Problem solved.
