I need HELP!!!

At the track and my '07 1098 had problems shifting into 3rd. I had to shift down to 1st and then it would go through the gears normally. Happened a coiple times.
I have a Bazzaz ZFi tc. I disconnected the qs and still had problems.

Any ideas?????

If it is not your clutch, plates worn out of spec stack height, air in the hydraulic system,... then I would look inside the alternator side for the shift lever assembly being loose and out of adjustment...
When this happened to my 2008 1098R, it turned out to be a bent shift fork... not the best scenario...
start with the easy stuff first, and hope for the best.... good luck....

BTW... the early 2007, 2008, 2009, 1098 transmissions were the weak link in the whole motor design...the latter 1198 transmissions were a bit beefier and had longer life... kinda depends on how folks are shifting through, up and down, the gears....some are hard shifters and some blip the throttle and shift like their wallet depends on the smoothness.....

Thx for the info. I'll post what it turns out to be...I was thinking shift fork too.
