Should I Buy?

I went to check out a wrecked 2013 848 at a local salvage yard today. I don't know the story behind it but the majority of the damage is front end. It has no dash cluster so I don't know the miles. It wouldn't start, obviously, so I don't know the engine condition. the tank is in great shape but all plastics need replacing. wheels, forks, frame and swing arm look straight with no damage. what would you guys pay for this? Also, looking at the pictures let me know what you see as missing. its would be a street bike so what I can tell right away is, fairing stay, headlight, plastics, new clip ons with levers and throttle, front brake reservoir....

Plus, its been sitting outside, in NJ, since October. They want $6500 for it...
I just bought a 2012 848 with 4500 miles with full exhaust and some other goodies for $9,000 in NJ. I can't see how you could only drop 2500 and be at the same spot I am in.
Yeah price is definitely high.

It's a 2013 and a corse...11k would be a fair price for it. As for the wrecked, wouldn't go over 5k. Time is money that you'll spend into repairing it
I paid 5400 for my 13. It was in much better shape and had less parts that needed replacing. Costs add up quick....especially OEM parts new and used. Mainly headlight, fairing stay, mirrors, nose, and paint. I had the cluster, and all levers etc were intact. I knew it ran and ride fine. I knew the mileage was true. No frame damage clean title. I would say stay at 5k on this.
They wouldnt budge from 6k. My offer was 3k and would probably go up to 4k, but honestly, its been sitting out in the snow and rain since October so the whole things needs to be taken apart and gone through. My search continues...
Running eBay engines run about 2500 just to give you a reference.
Ok, so my goal is for a $5000 848. Im not hell bent on all ducati parts so what do you guys think this will cost me to fix up. Chinese fairings, headlight, chain, blinkers/mirrors, clip ons (clutch resvoir/throttle), rear sets, dash cluster, fairing stay, levers, misc. bolts/screws. Thats what I can see right now. Im thinking used/chinese/non-ducati parts will run me about $1000-$1500. I think the big ticket item is the dash. Is it true that if I buy a new dash cluster I must get the ecu and keys to match or an I just swap it out?
Doesn't look too bad, I'd bite for a few grand, maybe 4 and spend another grand on fixing it up?

You will need to program the keys to the dash. ECU is normally not a problem if it's the keys that came with the bike. If not, you're going to have problems.

Thanks... is that a dealer thing or can I do it?
