I have one from a 749R, but not fitted it yet.

There is a large female hex socket in the middle of the standard clutch drum that will require a fairly unusual drive to remove the basket as well as the usual clutch tool.

Seems like it would be pretty subjective and open to preference...here is the one I have on my bike and I like it so far. I can't imagine you'd go wrong with it either. They have all different kits, some that include the slave etc down to individual pieces...different ramp angles etc.

P.S. I know nothing about this retailer, just thought the page was a good representation for you.

Any of the various brands will fit, the only thing that is different is that you need the larger 'corse' size cup washer and nut as the shaft is larger than the 916/999 bikes. I have a JHP slipper clutch in my bike but it is the same as Bucci and other 6 ramp ball bearing designs. I bought it from another Ducati forum used for £200 ($400) and it cost me about £20 ($40) for the nut and washer.

The original clutch nut is very tight (250nm) and needs a 19mm hex socket to loosen it along with the correct clutch tool to hold the drum and basket.

If you change it yourself make sure that you stack the clutch plates in a different order to original, on a slipper clutch a friction plate goes in first NOT a steel like the original clutch.

I changed my clutch over in about 30 minutes.
