Have you had the fuel tank off anytime recently? Sometimes a broken fuel connector may only leak a tiny bit, but could be enough for you to smell it constantly.

bike was serviced just recently, maybe something inadvertently got damaged . . . the smell is more toward fumes than smell of gas though . . .

Exhaust fumes? Maybe oil burning?

Does the bike have an aftermarket exhaust? Sometimes those can mask the sounds of an exhaust leak.
