For those of you looking to replace the pillion seat with the cowl like on the 1098 you will have to have your dealer order the parts to make the whole kit. Aparantly Ducati does not sell a whole kit yet for it.

Took me 4 dealers to find this out. Man I hate dealing with parts people.

Anyway to help any of those out who want to get one here are the part #'s they need to order.

1. 866.1.030.1A (rubber pad)
2. 884.4.025.1A (circle clip)
3. 247.1.307.1AA (cover seat (red)) Sorry white owners they only have red and yellow.
4. 595.1.091.1A (seat back)
5. 764.1.054.1A (rubber pad)
6. 799.1.175.1A (spring)
7. 841.1.037.1A (retainer)

You could just order 3 and 4 and use the parts off your stock seat for the others I would assume. I just had them order it all. Came to $157.00

I too want one in white but will prob just get the carbon fibre cover as i like the white/ black break up....
These bikes should really have just come as single seater as no pillion can ride up there???

As of now I think I prefer that "look" above all others. I think it would look great on the white 848. I'm getting a white in about a week.

I think there are some extraneous parts here..

There is only 1 type of rubber pad (6 off), the rubber seat pad comes with the rest of the plastic seat.

Either way, get your dealer to order it all, otherwise you may be liable to pay for wrong parts..

Which part is the seat buffer? I've upgraded mine already, but they ordered the wrong rubber bumpers for the "hooks" that take up the gap when you assemble... so I just used duct tape the seat buffer might be the part I need... the parts catalog calls out the wrong parts, so be forewarned those that haven't ordered yet...
