I have what may be one or two issues, lights/dash flickering off when running warm and some hesitation starting. Was hoping some sage-like members could weigh in!
I think the dash flicker may be regulator from what I've read up here but want a 2nd opinion before concluding:
Starting issues.. I recently replaced the battery with a Motobatt unit. Makes me think maybe:
-Regulator fault mean battery does not get a full charge (this morning was at 12.2V after a good run yesterday)
-Spark plugs? It does not seem to fire with each turn, should it?
-...or does it need to crank at a certain speed to spark properly? (starter?)
-it seems to only do this when cold, if it has been run recently or it is a really warm day (by UK standards.. approaching 20C/68F) it does not seem to do it. Actually went to film this before yesterday's good run thinking it would do it, but it did not (was around 20C). If it does not fire and just cranks like in the vid, then putting a charger/optimiser on usually fixes it near instantly (cranks faster & fires):
Some back story re: the bike, it is a 58 plate/early 2009 manufacture, have had it since last summer (bought from a Ducati dealer, serviced after sale agreed), has a little over 8k miles on it. Happy to expand and keen to hear from you guys!
