I have been trying to locate a rotary style steering damper for the Monster 1200 without any success. Is there a rotary style damper out there made for the 2014/2015 Monster 1200?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

None exist yet, I am looking as well for my 821 which shares a lot of the parts with the 1200. The only available option is the Ducabike for now.

Figures. That was what I was afraid of.............. please post if you find any come available. I really like the feel of a dampened front end but it must be a rotary style damper.

Out of curiosity why do you prefer the rotary style?

Twofold reasons. First I find the rotary much easier to mess with on the move. They are right there in front of your face. No reaching for the knob/s.

Second I find the linear dampers to be quite ugly and ruin the looks of the front of the tank in my opinion.

Thanks RougeTS1, I am sure someone will offer it here pretty soon. when I called two of the well known brands couple of months ago they wouldn't tell me if they have plans to make one for the 1200/821 or not. they just said to call back close to end of the year! I guess they are waiting for the 2016 bikes not sure.

I'm also waiting on GPR or Scotts to release something for the Monster 821/1200.

I'm using a rotative ohlins originally made for hyper 1100. I just had to modify a carbon piece to use as a connection to the risers.

Any photos? I am still waiting and it seems it may be time to just use a GPR and modify the mount...............
