i'm picking up my 1098s this week and I have read numerous people replacing their stock clipons with aftermarket risers.

is the stock really that uncomfortable? I haven't ridden a 1098s yet but it feels the same as my monster s4rs with 3/4" risers.

I dont mind the stock set up at all....I need to stop for gas way before I get uncomfortable

I can spend more hours on the 848 than my ZX6R, i like the riding position and i'm 6'1, just don't lean on your wrists....

I'm 6'2" and I think the riding position is perfect. I would never want higher bars...

We are in the same height category. When I first test rode a 1098, I found it to bit a little bit sporty to me. I had the dealer install Helibars before taking delivery of the bike. I only have ridden the bike 100 miles since getting it, but the bars definitely made a lot of difference.

Helibars are said to increase the stock clipons height by 1 inch. The speedymoto raises the clipons by 3/4 inch. And the Helibars are cheaper, so I tried it first.
