I'm sure it's been discussed before but by the look of it, not for a while.

1st, does it really matter if my local is not an official ducati mechanic?

2nd, Any advice on who to use otherwise?

thanks from a nubie.

You still haven't told us what you need help with or filled out your location properly.
It makes it hard to give you good advice.

not anywhere near Sydney.. but it would be a nice few days off and wonderful ride. I know some guys take their bikes up to either Byron Bay or Coffs.. one of them... Been a few years since any of those guys were around the site though.

XIM was using a gunn bloke down toward the gong... but we don't see X much either.

Good advice, I have used both North Coast V-Twins at Coffs Harbour and Arthur Davis at Desmoheadquarters at Byron Bay.
Closer to Sydney is Ron Young at Vacy near Maitland.
I have a great bloke here in town with Harvey Morris Motorcycles at Tamworth.

Sorry. I'm in the Inner West of Sydney. Just picked up the 695 2nd hand. The previous owner used a kit to drop the bike by and inch. Since I'm not a short arse I'd like it back to normal. Also want to give it a service. The Maintenance message pops up for a few seconds when I start and finally the temp gauge is just "---".

And just yesterday the oil and engine lights came on and the baby doesn't want to start. Oil was just touching the bottom line so I popped some more in but over did it a touch. That I can sort myself.

Just want to make sure everything is kosher really.

Thanks

I take my 749 to Motociclo, over in St. Peter's (technically inner west) for its annual service. It goes to D-Moto, a little further out in Clyde for major work.
I got new tyres out on last month over at Riders Highway in Tempe. They had a few Ducatis in pieces in the workshop and were good for the tyres in mine.
