I'm waiting for my Tricolore to come end of month,just want to know how long I have to wait before installing carbon Termi's?.Dealer recomends running standard pipes for 1,000kms & change at first service.Personally I would love to ride out with that sweet sound on day 1 what do you guys recommend.

change the pipes. Will run better, engine will breath better with those cats and exup valve gone.

Why in God's name would the dealer recommend waiting 'till the first service to install the Full Termi system? There's no mechanical reason I can think of that justifies that advice. I took delivery of my 1098S with the Full Termi system installed. My bike was never run with the junk OEM exhaust. Have the Full Termis installed prior to delivery. Then have the bike dynoed after break-in, at the first service, to fine-tune the fuel mapping and power delivery.

Same here, never fired with stock system. Get that EPA compliant, engine choking stuff out of there

Have them jack the charcoal canister also at the same time, if you have one.

Day 1 full Termis here, too....no charge install since the bike fairings were off for prep anyway and the dealer is the shizzzzz !!
