I'm thinking of getting a 1098, they just arrived at my dealer. I can't decide between the Termignoni, Arrow, MIVV Suono, Leo Vince or Zard? I'm looking for best performance, sound and quality. I went to Motowheels.com and they have the Termignoni racing exhaust system developed in collaboration with Ducati Corse; includes carbon silencers with removable DB killers, 2-1-2 stainless steel manifolds (Ømax. 70 mm), dedicated ECU and racing air filter. Designed to improve the fluid dynamics of exhaust gas, this system increases engine performance by about 8%. It all goes for $2,699. Is that a good deal and would I get better performance and sound from a different exhaust system?

All opinion dude. I have MiVVs and they sound mean as hell, I've heard full termis and they're ridiculous as well. They are all the same when it comes down to it, it's all about looks and your opinion.

Of course a full system is much better than simply slip-ons, but it depends on what you want to spend. And yes, $2,699 is a good price for the full termi system. I would have gone with that but I was too impatient for the dealer to install them and I didn't want to do it myself.

Good luck. Congrats on choosing a wicked bike.

i wanted to do the leo vince (had them on my 748, and wanted to have something different since alot of ducati bikes have termi's), but with extra emissions and crap the stock 1098 did not run real ideal, so i figured that if i bought leo's i would either be running on the stock ecu (which is programmed to work with stock setup with all the emissions) or i would have to do something ecu or power commander wise, so i ended up buying the termi slipons which come with the racing ecu and air filter for about $1,200, (only a few hundred more than most slip ons by themselves) and it lets you take all the emissions stuff off, and is programed to work with higher flow air filter and the freer flowing pipes, and some people say that the termi's wont "void" your warrenty(least on my list of considerations), i like them alot, sound great and less heat under the seat !
