Got the race termi's fitted last week with the remap.
I've been very surprised at the lack of engine breaking now. The bike just seems to run on when you throttle off as compared to previously breaking fairly heavily.
Takes a bit of getting used to. Need to use the brakes now.

really? i find that (stock) i never need to use the brakes. i make it a habit though to press the rear brake a little just so my light turns on and people behind me notice i'm slowing.

I have the Race Termis too. I have no issue using engine breaks at all. Must be something not set right

Engine braking is accomplished through the intake side not the exhaust. Replacing or disconnecting the entire exhaust system shouldn't have an impact on engine braking.
Something else going on.

Are you experiencing any other symptoms? Issues with engine braking loss is from loss of vacuum/compression so with the absence of other symptoms it is hard to say. Loose spark plug or issues with one or more of the valves. I am speaking from my experience building my own classic cars engines and never worked on a Ducati engine before so take my input for what it is. Good luck.

Hmmm. Nothing like this happened to me either? VERY odd so please update once it gets figured out.

Ducats mechanic said that it has changed the way the bike breathes hence the reduced engine breaking. No back pressure due to modified exhaust and Ecu upgrade. Seems fair enough.
