Interesting, so the immobilizer actually works, thought it might just be a pretty red light flashing :stickpokeHonda freak said:I have a Lojack and a Scopio paging alarm on my CBR 600rr . I use a Xena alarmed disc lock on the 1098. The Ducati immobilizer system seems to work fine.
When I picked up my bike at the dealership, there was an S model sitting in the service area with a screwed up ignition. Apparantly, the husband (1098) and wife (R6) parked their bikes side by side in their underground parking at a highrise condo and some thieves hit the condo units. They were able to get the R6, but ended up leaving the Ducati alone after trying to mess with it.
How much did all of that cost Lojack and paging alarm?Honda freak said:I have a Lojack and a Scopio paging alarm on my CBR 600rr . I use a Xena alarmed disc lock on the 1098. The Ducati immobilizer system seems to work fine.

Lojack installed was $595.00 and the Scorpio Alarm was 300.00 (I installed it myself).Heaph said:How much did all of that cost Lojack and paging alarm?
Thats too funny!DMc said:Don't worry, if your 1098 is like mine, the thief won't get very far
Are you happy with the Scorpio Alarm? How well does the pager work.Honda freak said:Lojack installed was $595.00 and the Scorpio Alarm was 300.00 (I installed it myself).
I like the alarm, but the perimiter sensor is too sensitive even set at the lowest level. Range isn't bad as long as you're not in a metal reinforced building.Tru_blu_1 said:I have a scorpio alarm also.. I love it.. The pager works good aslong as your not in like a mall or a high rise building. It comes close to the 1/2 mile radius they say it gets. and the perimeter sensor works very well to keep people away from my baby... LOL...
SPDXTC said:Almax security chains are by far the best for securing you bike at your home. I belive the majority of bikes are actually stolen from people's homes. If you want to keep it secure get the chain and a good ground anchor.
Almax chains are the toughest around and cannont be bolt cut, I think it even thwarts most small hydralic bolt cutters as well.
It is rather pricey for a chain but well worth it imo.
I have a extra 1 meter Seriers 3 Chain and Squire SS65CS Stronghold lock for sale if anyone is interested, brand new never used.
