Not even 3k miles on it yet and a coworker tipped my bike over in the parking lot. Luckily he told me and has USAA. It fared pretty well I guess, bar end mirror, tank will have to go, not sure how much damage to the shifter but the rear passenger peg kept any damage off the rear.

Still a bummer but shit happens I guess, will update when I get the estimates.

Guess I am riding the zx10r for awhile!

Ouch! That's definant one of my big fears besides someone turning left in front of me. Shortly after my son got his brand new Repsol Honda he stupidly parked it behind my wife's jeep Cherokee (right side outside the garage) and she knocked it over and into my other sons trucks bumper.
All the little damage along with a softball size dent on the top of his tank.
Lessons he never parks behind a car and my wife looks behind her car before backing.
Funny thing we replaced the little stuff but held off on replacing the tank as he was a new rider and would probably have other incidents...shortly there after he rear ended a car at 45 mph and needed almost everything, frame, front end, bars, mirrors, radiator, fenders ,fairing but oddly enough the tank didn't get any new damage?Go figure. Kids.
Sorry for your damage hope it's good as new soon.I'm a usaa member and they will make it right.

Recently had my 696 backed into and knocked over. All the cager's fault. Bar end mirror, clutc lever, shifter lever and some scratches. All told $4,300 to repair it all.

One on the scratches was to the left silencer and the other to my swingarm. I said screw replacing the whole swingarm for some scratches and am instead getting a new exhaust. Overall seems to be working out in my favor if the shop ever gets my bike back to me. It's been there a month. 😔

Quick update , damage looks very minor. Cost to fix? 5549.50 so far. Glad he had insurance!
Do you mind me asking how its that expensive? Is that replacing every single part with a slight scratch on it? Seems steep considering thats a little more than 1/3 of the bikes cost.

No clue it's crazy and same boat small scuffs on swing arm but that would put it in total range over 11k which I do NOT want to have them give me fair market value.

I paid $18750 cash and I would lose a few thousand bucks if they total it.

I will post the list of stuff they are fixing when I get it.

Appreciate it. I'm thinking they are being a bit generous as to what needs replacing.

Hopefully this works , with labor bumps up to $5700 and change but here is the parts list.

The scuff on the swing arm is mostly dirt and I can live with it.

Probably overkill? I am far from a mechanic but feel free to discuss!

Wow $2343 for a tank......didn't know they were made of Gold and painted red? I'll think about it differently when I'm lovingly squeezing it between my thighs. ( I'm talking about the gas tank!):p
