we talking 1098 here, but i did 203 with my zx-14 out of the dealer no mods at all.....after a few mods i haven't even tried it yet..on my ex- gxs-1000r turbo it did 228 on the dyno computer. i didn't even did it on the street too much power, i had 245 horses on that, got scared and sold it...check my gallery...i have a pic of it......but again, i only do it a few times to test the bike...i just like to cruise and enjoy my rides...lol

You are Crazy :stopp: I've only seen 95 and that's just a little too fast. I just like to cruise 2. I'll try to pop some wheelies and that's about it. I didn't pay all this money to see what a DUC can do, shoot I know what it can do..

That's why I don't do stunts, lol. I don't even know how to wheelie or stoppies or anything like that. The only thing I can do and is on the CBR600RR is burn outs....When I do the speed test I'm fully dress in race gear and a close street (with no traffic after 5). It is 2.5 miles straight with no intersections or anything. Again, I only do this when I do some mods just to test them out...I like cruising also. Don't like the speed much, but I just need to know what I have. ......:crazyeyes

Not to nit pick... but the zx-14 doesn't do over 186 out of the box. You need to get rid of the limiter . After you do that - she's pretty darn fast!

More money than sense......Sorry, just my opinion. Can't believe you've spent all that money on a 1098 and not riden it properly. I've always had fast bikes and riden them fast....It took me a long time to save up for a Ducati and that type of comment makes my head slump. Not a slur against you, just trying to get my head round the fact you got the best handling bike on the planet with 160Bhp as standard and just pootle around below 100Mph.

Just as info, I live in Germany, some of the best quality roads on the planet. Fast autobahns with no speed restrictions, but even better, great sweeping back roads.

You and Paddy crack me up. I ride the snot out of my 1098S and seldom exceed 100mph. If you think going triple digit speeds on a motorcycle is a measure of motorcycle expertise or, sense over money, then you don't know very much about motorcycling. But that's just my opinion, of course.

Really Elton...YOU crack me up. You will have noticed in my post I wasn't sluring at von1098, but rather shocked at the choice of purchase and riding style.....Also being a free world and entitled to my opinion....as you are....

BUT

You however have ran head first and decided to judge me and my riding ability...! If you think you've riden this bike hard and stayed under 100 then your terminology needs a closer inspection! along with your wimp lines no doubt. (You are welcome to come to the land with bendy roads and I'll show you straight line speed isn't everything.:moped: )

I'm not the type of person to boast about riding ability or say I'm faster than you. But you have dragged me into this as you've really hit the button and I will say this, I class myself as a sports rider, have been on and crashed at many trackdays, witness many accidents in my rear mirrors and I would hope to be experienced enough to back my opinions up!......:flickoff: can you?
