Noticing in the video that he has the stock exhaust on then the likelihood is that he did not have the recall done on the tail unit. Ducati knew from very early on that the rear tail unit was prone to overheating and possibly fire so issued a recall to replace the shroud around the exhaust outlet with a new ceramic one. This work was done, and can still be done, free of charge at any Ducati authorised dealer.
I know there are still bikes out there that have not had this done and if your bike ends up like this then you have only one person to blame. it's a very well known issue.
Thankfully not a problem on the bikes with the GP7 titanium units
