Hello all. I am looking into buying some Ducati Riding boots and would really like some help. I want something that I can ride in and spend the day in if I wear them to work. I think I have it narrowed down to 2. What are you guys using for boots? Any feedback or experience with these 2?

The Ducati Puma Flat 2 Street Boots(first picture)

and

The Ducati Tech Touring Boots(second picture)

Any and all input is welcome. Thanks in Advance!!

SIDI for me.

I have the Strada air and love them, had a crash in them in July and they did great.
My Wife has the Scorpion air and she loves them. She also has the Womens Jasmine Te-Por for cool weather.
I will have the Scorpion air before next summer.

The Pumas are cool, but I know not about them?

Thank you for your replies! I am probably not going to get a full suit. I usually wear jeans and (for now) a pair of Doc Martins Boots. I have a textile jacket and am considering a Ducati Perferated Leather Jacket also. I live in south Florida so I am trying to stay somewhat comfortable while protected.

With this in mind, any recomendation for gear would be great! Anyone have the boots that I listed above? Anyone have a Duc Perf Leather Jacket?

Your feedback is much appreciated. Thanks Again!

Dainese

I say Dainese all the way...and they make all or most of the Ducati leather jackets anyway. Mine is the Jet-Pac perf leather, all-black so it blends anywhere but has all the protection and an optional back protector. You can attache it to Delta perf pants to make a suit.

The other things I am considering are the Drake air pant, probably better for your geo...and they make some other textile/perf jackets that are probably better too. www.kneedraggers.com is a great source to see a lot of their stuff and order if you like it.

For boots I say don't go casual unless you absolutely need to wear them all day. Carry a backpack or leave something at work...and if you can't Sidi makes the Doha, Gaerne makes the Jet. If you're interested I have a pair of Jets NIB size 43/9 that I'll sell to you. Otherwise I recommend Sidi Vertigo Corsa Air.

Wow, Florida. You need perferated every thing.
If you are going to waer jeans, look at my photo gallery and see how minamal gear cas save your a$$. The key is to ware it, all the time, so it must be cumfy.
Slider jeans flow almost as well as Levis. A mesh jacket is cooler than a tee shirt alone as you get shade from the sun. Light colers dont atract heat from the sun, and perfs in all things work. Even boots.
If you need full Ducati leather for posin, then get it, but if you need every day protection, buy it 1st.
Yes, I do know what I am talking about.

If you look at the photos, I have no road rash from my gear taring off, only fricsion , like a rug burn.
Yes, I have full purf comp wait lethers for 20 min track sessions. It would have been nice to have pland my crash better so I could have had it on. :naughty:
It was 105F and a 200 mile loop, and it is what it is, but if you dont have it on! so flame away. :flamethro
But please help this fella make some good gear picks.

On the same boot question....I am 1.58m "tall"....meaning I already had to drop the ride height on my bike, but still when wearing my Duc Corse Dainese Titanium boots, I literally only touch the ground with my toe end of the boots!

Any full boots available with a thicker sole?

No need to touch the ground on an open stretch, but its a pain in the $$$ to lean the bike at traffic lights / city traffic

I have the Draggin Pants that have Kevlar lined knees and ass. If you're gonna wear jeans, I'd wear nothing less. I have one of those mesh jackets too and it doesn't seem to keep me much cooler than my perforated leather jacket. The way I see it, when it's hot out you're sweating no matter what you're wearing. So might as well have the extra protection and wear at least a leather jacket, some good leather gloves, and boots. Stimac wouldn't have got that "rugburn" on his shoulder if he had a leather jacket on. But then again, better to be wearing mesh than nothing at all.

No one told me! I only know one road racer, and he wears a Joe R. mesh on the street to?
I have been wondering how the pro racers crash on what seams too be every week end and are not all scabed up.
Thanks for the insight Antigravityman79

Seen these in person as I was really interested
in them but, the red ring around the Puma sign
is sort of anodized and darker than the
surrounding red color. plus the ankle
protections is a joke.

nice design, bad implementation.

sidi is the only way to go
Yeah, I like those new Sidi Vortice. After looking at a few reviews, I'm impressed. It will either be those or the Supertech.
