Been asking myself the same question, but keep in mind that only 500 were produced.

In general both 1199 forums have been slow here. Maybe the 'other' 1199 online forums have more activity.

500 were produced, but the Ducati dealer in Detroit off Woodward has two of them on the floor for sale. So.... maybe there aren't as many takers as one would thing for a bike priced at 2X the price for the 1199R, that really is just a modded 1199r. If it were more unique like the Desmo at that price point, it may have drawn a more immediate reaction. Just a thought. I could be wrong.

500 produced, less than 500 currently owned, and I'm willing to bet that few of those people have time or care to go on a forum and write about their experience with the bike. I can guarantee you that majority of Ducati owners (probably bike owners in general) are not active members on forums.

I've never ridden an SL...only been passed by one at the track like I wasn't even moving. From what I can tell, it's an amazing piece of machinery, sounds fantastic and is stupid fast!!

could be that the owners are way past the age group that uses internet? News about the Superlegerra is also slow. I search the net for news and ride reviews of Cycleworld. Ridepart, motorcycle.net and nothing except for a few write ups which is just a downloaded brochure.

If you ride a 899/1199/etc

Hence reason I am on both and often find the "other" one more educating and motivating, despite a few trolls and idiots who love stirring the pot and making sure that they appear as the know it all type :)

Yeah I guess with only 500 units, information is hard to come by.

ScottyBoz, I had missed your thread in the media section. Thanks for linking it!

What do you want to know? Pics of the dyno runs have already been posted. Ride reports have already been posted (and all generally say the same thing). Pics and videos are in the media section. If there's something you want to know, just post and ask it!

I also watch this forum to see if anything new comes in, but I'm not really surprised that it doesn't. As others have said, there's a limited number of them that were made so it's not like new perspectives are going to pop up every other day as some new person buys one.

Exactly....there aren't a whole lot of different ways of saying "it's a badass bike"! :D

That's great news.. especially when performance enthusiasts like our self's need genuine shop talk -

The trolls and idiots that like pot stirring are also here as well.

Think I'll take you up on that offer and test the waters.
