Just bought a '99 996 and I hate the 3 spoke wheels, and would like to swap them out for the 5 spoke or the newer style like on the Evo. I found a cheap set of Evo's and was curious.

I have owned many Ninja's, but this is my first 996.

Thanks!! -Trav

The rear is a direct swap. There is no provision for the speedo drive in the front wheel hub so a spacer is needed instead and you lose your speedo. The 848 front uses 5 bolt rotors with a different offset to the 996 series so you need to sort the correct rotor offset. It can be done but most go to 848 series forks with radial caliper bottoms as well and use the 848 rotors.
