Do you have to remove the entire front fairing to replace the windscreen? If you've replaced yours where did you get the new one from? I'm looking for a double bubble or PUIG but cant seem to find one.

No you don't have to remove the entire front fairing to replace the fairing. The front two rubber gromet / nuts "should" be glued to your OEM windshield. When installing a new, be sure to reglue or tape them on to your new one to make it easy to install. If you decide to use some tape, leave some slack on it so you can pull the tape off after the windshield is on...

interesting I thought you couldnt loosen the mirror bolts. I thought they were break away and needed to be replaced if the mirrors were removed.

I'm looking at doing two things here, one: is install my number plates, two: install a windscreen but I wasnt sure if I needed to remove the front fairing and also I thought the mirror screws were break aways.

The manual says you can remove the mirrors. Pg. 73 of the owner's manual says, "Unscrew the fastening screws of the rear-view mirror. Release the pins from the retaining clips attached to the headlamp fairing bracket. Slip off the rubber gaiter and disconnect the turn signal indicator connectors. Repeat the process for the other rear-view mirror.
Important
On refitting, smear the threads of the screws with “medium-strength threadlocker”."

I am 100% sure the mirrors come off, I have had the nose off twice now. IMO it is best to remove the nose in order to install the windscreen. The time it will take trying to #uck around getting those two front bolts back on right you could have been done doing it the right way. It's good to know how the bike comes apart anways...
