G'day, I'm in Melbourne and am looking to buy a Streetfighter.

Before you ask I am open to the idea of any model depending on price and value but I am partial to the 848 in yellow.

Let me know what you have got.

Get a KTM 1290 R .

Try and get a good ride on both the 848 and 1098 variants, as they have different steering geometry.

That will help you know which type suits you better.

The larger model has more rake then the 848 model, which has a steeper steering angle more like the sports model.

Not sure why they did that, but it means they will feel fairly different.

I have ridden both, I like them for difference reasons.
Problem is trying to find sellers who don't want a stupid price for them.

Yes, there aren't going to be many to choose from second-hand as they didn't sell all that well.

And of course their owners think they are worth more than they actually are.

Be patient. One will come up.
