Radz,
I have an extra set in white. If you're in the US I can mail them to you free of charge, they are just gathering dust here as they were a backup set in case I screwed up. I ended up not liking the look and took the first set off. They come in four pieces per tire, and they were shipped too me in a long envelope, I can send them to you the same way.

Full list of parts fo the new 848

Well guys here's the full list of what i have had done to the bike:
  • Painted the lower fairings and front fender in red with the new Ducati Corse logo put on each panel
  • New Ducati performance smoked screen (30mm higher that the standard screen)
  • Replaced all the silver stainless fairing bolts with black ones including the screen bolts.
  • Scorpion carbon slip ons with carbon end cap.
  • carbon exhaust guard, carbon heel plates, carbon rear hugger, carbon front sprocket cover, carbon tank panels, carbon air intake covers, carbon key guard
  • Gold DID chain
  • Silver Rear sprocket cover powder coated in black.
  • Ducati seat cowl.
  • Replaced the silver brake and clutch lever's for black ones
  • Ducati performance neoprene racing seat (on back order presently)
  • R&G tail tidy with orange LED indicators
  • Smaller numberplate with the smallest legal size letters and numbers.
Thats about it i think.

I tried to make it look more like a basic 1098 as i liked the colour co-ordination better than the stock 848
I will take some more pictures at the weekend and upload them so you can see all the changes.

yup, I put it on the under-tank panel because that's where my leg rubs. Much more useful there than the top portion of tank.

thanks for the comments. I have a few more bits to add - EVR slipper/clutch slave, podium levers, ZG corsa windscreen. Contemplating if I should get a Ducshop triple tree and BSTs.

I had the same problems with my knee position too; even though I'm 6'5". I got a set of Acculigns and problem fixed.

I ordered it from my local Ducati dealer.
Part # 43810001A

It was about $10.

You're welcome.

Funny thing is that I originally wanted a red one but couldn't find one in my area when I was looking, so I ended up with the white one.

Now that I have it in white, I wouldn't look back. :)

Here she is in touring mode. :)

I ordered the new Givi E300B White topcase from my local dealer.

I then bought a used pillion seat online, removed the padding, and mounted the Givi base plate to it as shown in this thread. When test fitting, I noticed that while not touching, the base plate came very close to the bodywork, so I decided to cut a sheet of 1/4" plastic down to size using the pillion seat as a template in order to have the baseplate sit a little further away from the bodywork.

I use my bike almost exclusively in the summer months. This topcase will come in handy for running errands, groceries, and those long trips.

Thanks,
No, it's not a problem at all. I simply adjust the way I throw my leg over.
