Having just upgraded to an R to get the extra 100cc's, I would spew if I could get this in 2009 for 1/2 the cost.
Probably like the 999R owners felt when the 1098 came out.

Oh well... I like to way my 1098 looks. I don't really care if Ducati comes out 1198 or even 1298. It will probably be the same bike with bigger motor.

I probably would too.

But they have always improved the breed with each new model release haven't they?

I bet they would still have the more expensive R with the TC, TTX, and whatever else it has, the S with the 'average' suspension bits, the better rims, and the base. I bet you would not get anywhere near the extra 20 odd hp in the S or the base, that you would get in the R, for an extra 100cc or not. In short, I bet the R would get a bit more for the same price too, thus preserving the investment of the existing R owners.

Just had one of my clients turn up to work on one of them really nice bike looks better in the white than the orange I'm going to get together with him and take it for a spin.

Ergos where really good actually quite comfy to sit on keep the 1098 and get rid of the multi and get one of these bad boys and head for the bush....I miss this bike and I'm going to get another.

I hope I'm wrong this time, but if history has anything to say about it the BMW will be overweight and underpowered. I really hope I'm wrong, but I'm not so sure.

I'd love to see Aprilia get back into the mix again, but it seems they need to spend some money on R&D first.
