Good evening gents (And ladies) ,

I have noticed at a stop, my 2008 1098 has reached a mere 250 F  and did not hear or notice my fans kicking on. At what tempurature do the fans eventually kick on? Does anyone know the answer to this question or do I have some kind of sensor or fault going on with my bike. My 1098 is outfitted with no more than - Termi's, DP ECU, High Flow Air Filter and much CF...

Thanks for your help!

If you haven't resolved this yet, it sounds like the fan relay no longer works. The fans should have turned on prior to 250 degrees.
I recently had my 1098 idling in my garage while I was fiddling with map settings, and didn't know I had an issue with my cooling fans until it started spitting coolant all over the garage floor. I looked at the gauge panel, and sure enough - the temp was 260-ish and the fans were NOT running. I took it into the dealer and they confirmed the fan relay was dead. Full of corrosion. They replaced it, and the starter relay which sits right next to it because they say it eventually fails for the same reason. Haven't had any cooling issues since.
