LED front turn signal wiring

I installed a Motodynamics sequential led tail light kit. Looks great, love it. Now I’m installing the Ducati performance LED front turn signals and they came with bullet style wiring connectors that are not plug and play with stock wiring. Do I need a resistor or wiring kit to make this work or just manually connect the wires and done? I searched and found some previous posts saying this is plug and play but it’s not. 2015 821. Thanks!

What was the part number?

I think you've got the wrong indicators...

96680201A - look to come with a plug in connector not a bullet connector.

I just installed the performance signals that I purchased from another user. They had the "bullet" connector and the original has a spade connector. I didn't have the original packaging or the connecting piece referred to above. i just cut the ends off the leads from the bike (with the spade connector) and crimped on standard bullet connector. Everything worked fine without any other resistor or anything other than changing the connection type. I did notice on one turn signal that i had to switch the wiring order as the light didn't come on at first. i swtiched the the two wires and it worked fine. Either that's coincidence or the performance light is particular about which wire is connectied to the power and neutral (which makes sense because the peformance wires are color coded and the bike wires are not).

it is a standard electrical connector that you can find and any home depot or hardware store. if in doubt, take your signal in and show someone the connection you are trying to make. Make sure to get one that is for something around a 18 to 20 gauge wire (this is for the crimp connection). Then cut your old wire, strip it a 1/4 inch or so to expose the wire and crimp it into the new connector.

If in doubt, go to a place like Ace Hardware. They usually have pretty good people to help walk you through how to do a simple thing like this.

The link that you attached is the exact one I just installed on my 1200.

One other thing I just thought of. I cut the wires on my bike very close to the old spade connector. This is going to leave quite a bit of wire that needs to be neatly stashed away behind the headlight. If you don't have some, grab a bag of small zip ties to secure the excess wire.
