So I have finally decided that I am just going to repaint the whole bike. 2 years ago I went down and every faring of the bike got replaced besides the tank and right upper. Although all pieces are OEM, there is a noticeable variation in the paint. Like a fade almost.

Well over the weekend I noticed the tank starting to peel after a small chip. Just finaly decided that I want to repaint it all.

My question now is do I want to go with the Artic White Silk again or do I want to go with another Matte White paint option.

The Artic White Silk has always had a "blue" hue to my eye and there for not "bright" enough I think.

Before I go and buy this paint, I figure I would ask the boards. What do you guys think? OE paint or a different matte white?

Matte white will def make your bike stand out in a good way, if you plan to keep the same decals, you could get away will just respraying the clear. Matte clear can just be a matte additive to the clear. You could also look into soft touch. gives the paint a almost rubber feel to the paint. The only issue I have with matte is it is hard to touch up and if applied unevenly it looks like shit and it's hard to correct mistakes like runs.

Yeah thats my thing, its hard to touch up and there are a few things here and there that are just pushing me to respray the whole bike. Even the new parts are peeling so im chopping it up as thin layers of OEM paint. With a new paint job, I can add an extra layer of paint and a better clear. I plan one keeping the red/white scheme.

depends if the color is not bright enough try getting a tint for the clear, the blue tint you have may be replaced depends if it is a tone in the paint or the clear. If you go with matte clear you maybe limited to your options as far as tints, if you go glossy you have a much larger range of tints. I would go to a good paint shop and look thru their binders.

Yeah your right. Once I paint it I just need to find the Rosso Decal. I got a guy we use at my dealer ship that does wraps and wheel decals. I'm sure he can make the proper decals if no one sells them already. Then if I don't like it, just peel it.
