1098 carbon fiber belt covers are now available at www.shift-tech.com

Guess waiting a while for them was well worth it, now they are ready.

Hi,

I second that... I bought a set of Guido and they're gorgeous, works of art and easy to fit.

They finish the bike off.... I've just got to put it all back together this weekend. I'll post some pictures when I get a moment of all the mods.

who was selling an exhaust?

Not to hijack this thread....so I have to say the carbon fiber belt covers are lovely. Another finely made carbon fiber item from shift-tech!

But who might be selling an exhaust? PM me whomever you are.
No, no... I am saying Shift-Tech was selling an exhaust for this company but I see it is no longer on their site. I don't recall the brand name but it was really cool looking and very $$$. Just wondering if they decided not to carry it anymore because it was not selling or what.

Jason, it was the HPE and I do still offer them.
I just try to list on the website parts that are in stock and move quickly, I never believed into having a great website with hundreds of parts just to let the customer know that they are out of stock and I am not ready to start stocking hundreds of diffrent parts as well, at the end you the customer pay's for storing them.

Right on... That HPE exhaust looks nice.

wow, that's big bucks for something that is nearly completely hidden.
Yeah I agree, I would never buy it but for some people that have to have every little last bit of CF, it's a must!

It's nice for what it is though...

Grand, I see you're still bitter about that... I take it nothing was ever resolved with that. It's a shame, but sometimes it's just better to bury the hatchet and move on...

Hey and one more question for you... Do you still have the damaged hugger? Would you like to sell it?

If I stole $300 from you and you see me 6 months later....are you gonna tell me forget it, it is a old story ?

Yes I still have that hugger, it on my wall but how much you think I can have for that ? Not the price I had paid for sure.

Just to bad....I'm buying a lot of stuff for my bike and they could sale me lots of other CF part but they lost me as client and I just want to warn others !

Grand Duc, as I have asked you in the past, please stop making false statments and I will ask you now again nicely.

Let's see now, straight out negative about it as much as you can all over the forums from day one before even trying to work it out, then you cutt a large section out of it and then you tell me I have to take it back?
For your information, I did resolve it with others on a case by case base but it's a two way road and it all depends on how the acutual person presents it.

For everybody that did not read it see here :

I believe the above search option with " Shift-Tech" can show everybody else a clear picture of our service.

Why would I make a false statement ??? I am not saling CF part nor any body that I know. I did purchaced that hugger from you and I have the e mail that was sended to you telling that I had a full Termi sys. Your awnser was that I was to heavy (over 185 pounds) after you found the problem you made a different model for the full system.

Why dont you respect your custumers instead of saying the same BS ???

I don't realy believe the forum is the place for personal discussions but guess I have to respond to all of this.

I do respect my customers very much as many other members have stated on this forum over and over again but you get respect when you give respect.

You did not say anything about a 70mm system and you do know this exactly, why even ask since you have a base 1098 and nobody even had even the slightest thought that it would not work perfectly unless you have a crystal ball, think once hard about this...and even if you would have I would have told you straight out that I would not have any information since we did not try it at that time and our 70mm system has not showed up yet to even try it. Your point was later that the Tricolore would come with these pipes after I told you the hugger was for a 1098 as it comes from Ducati.
We simply placed a small washer on the pipe mount to space the mid pipe away from the hugger edge and it is still like this on the bike as of today. Again I will ask you- don't make false statments.

This is part of the e mail I refert:

>>> Hello,
>>>
>>> I would like to cancell the heat guard as I will instal the race muffler
>>> and
>>> i just find out that it will not fit"
>>>
>>> Also, can you change the full clutch cover for an half clutch cover.
>>>
>>> Thank

and your reply was :
>> Payment of $ 129.99 has been refunded for the cancelation on the heat
>> shield, clutch cover has been change to 1/2 open.

Let's just assume this realy would be the email that you say you did send some time in March of 07', I am supose to know what you are talking about while receiving apx. 75-100 messages every day, now if you would be the only customer then of course this would be another story, believe it was the prime 1098 season at that time and 14 hour day's were the norm. Don't you think you could have maby pointed this out a little bit more in details, how am I supose to know what you are doing? As much as I can see is that you want to cancel a heat guard since you want to put some kind of race system on your bike, I don't have a crystal ball here either knowing what system you use and if the hugger is for the same bike or what you are doing there.

How about- I will be installing the DP 70mm system, can you tell me if there will be any fitment issues if I change my stock exhaust over to this one? I did hear that the heat guard for the stock system does not fit and now would like to verfify the hugger will.

How about after you received it and found out that you pipe did not fit well with it to email me in a polite matter as others have done instead of posting it as negative as you can all over the net before even contacting us to resolve it, then you cutt up the hugger up and you then tell me to take it back. Then you acuse us of stealing your money and all other stuff?

That's the point....

I can only vouch for Guido and his eagerness to help. I have ordered a few parts from him from the UK and he has gone the extra mile to explain things, particularly when I placed an order for a bellypan. Numerous emails from me back and forth, and a detailed and prompt response from him in return. I think if a part was not "fit for purpose" then I would have been inclined to send it back with a detailed explanation of what was wrong with it, as opposed to making my own modifications to it, if the aim was to obtain a refund. I cannot see how having cut a section out of the part, now renders it as a refundable item. Would it not have been easier to have sent it back as soon as you noticed it fouling the exhaust? I am not privvy to your email exchanges with Shift Tech, but public slanging matches on an open forum are at best a poor arena in which to contest your argument. Why not just use the telephone, it's quicker, less impersonal than posting embittered remarks and best of all it is direct, succinct and to the point, unlike this thread.

My point is and I told you before is that hugger was show on your site on a 1098 with yhe 70 mm pipe on it......and please dont tell me It a other false statement.

I also know that peple are tired of that storie but at least if im stock with it, I can prevent other to have the same troble and the waisting of money.

You should of deal with this issue at day one instead of telling me it a false statement all the time and ignore me.

I had other isuue with a other place and they admit that was a mistake and they offer me to correct the situation to keep me as client and I told evrybody here how that compagny respect there client and I'm still buying stuff from them......

Why dont you do the same ??????????

Ten-6, last respond to this.. I promise. :yo:

Grand Duc you made your point, we are terrible and are thieves, our customer service is the worst in the industrie and nobody should buy from us.

You have your opinion and I have mine, this is not Dr. Phil's forum here so why keep on going on and on and on, you want to talk to me so email me. I can not take a return or exchange on something that you started cutting pieces off it, won't matter how many times you come up with the same story, I won't even get into this picture stuff now.

Find yourselve a hugger that may have a small scratch on it from the pipe, incl. a copy of your invoice and send it to me and I refund you your payment and then go away, please. :later: If you respond now again then you will be talking to the stars, I won't look at it again.

Well put Guido. Does this guy ever know went to let up? If I had hacked pieces off an item then expected to get a refund for it, then that would be very naive. I think everyone "gets" his point whatever it is but it is falling on deaf ears on this forum. Sadly I am not sure he realises that.

PS Belt covers look fantastic Guido. I have just got to justify the expense to my wife first before I spend any more money on the bike!

I think they look great.....except.....

I definitely do not like being a billboard. Not that you'd see it too often, but if I wanted carbon fiber there....I would want carbon fiber there, not a giant screened
"shifttech.com" everywhere where you can see it. Anyone else care about this kinda stuff? It just seems hokey to have prime space taken up by a commercial, and then to have to pay big bucks to do it.
